Sharing the Healing
and
Energy of Aromatherapy
__________
|
There has been so
much happening in the last two months that I haven't even had time to
write the newsletter for May, and here it is the middle of June. So I will
give you a little bit of information about all the exciting things that
have been happening.New Certification
In early May I completed 230 hours of study in the Australasian College
of Herbal Studies course on Holistic Structure and Function of the Body
and tested out of the course. You may be more familiar with the
terminology 'Anatomy and Physiology'. This course is part of the
curriculum for a diploma in Natural Health, but is also required for a
diploma in Aromatherapy from ACHS. It was an extremely challenging course,
but very interesting. I am delighted that I completed the course, and am
now certified in knowledge of how the body is put together, how the parts
work together, and what they need in order to function properly. With this
insight into how our bodies are supposed to work, I am totally amazed at
how well our bodies continue to serve us, after the things we do to our
bodies through what we eat, what we do physically, and what we do
mentally!
I continue to work on completing the other courses required for finishing
the diploma program for Aromatherapy. I'll be ready for licensing when the
U.S. is ready to license aromatherapists and aromatologists.
Successful Energy Workshops
Delight Participants
As soon as I completed my major test in early May, it was time to
finish preparations for the Energy Medicine, Chakra, and Reiki
Apprenticeship workshops in late May. We were delighted with the response
from the women who attended. There was a lot of bonding of kindred souls
and incredible amounts of energy shifted in healing among us. It was an
intense weekend with huge amounts of information to assimilate and study.
We are happy to announce that Heidi Abel will return to Owensboro in late
September for the continuation of each of these workshops. There will be
even more information and energy work to be shared by all who participate.
Because we scheduled two of the four-hour workshops on the same day, Heidi
was really wiped out by the end of the weekend. She puts so much work into
preparation for the workshops, and then expends constant energy while
conducting the workshops. So the September session will be spread out a
little more with only one workshop per day.
We are happy to announce that Ms. Janet Ellsworth of Denver, Colorado will
also be with us that weekend teaching Dream Interpretation. Janet is very
intuitive and knowledgeable in this field.
We'll have more details on the upcoming weekend for you as soon as we
finalize them. If you are interested in receiving the registration form
when available email me at suzanne@TBAScent.com and tell me to add you to
the workshop mailing list. Ask also to be added to the emailing list of
the NINLIL Breeze, a brand new newsletter of good energy news for body,
mind, and soul by Heidi, Janet, and Suzanne. The NINLIL Breeze intent: to
educate and stimulate, that we may help with the healing process. |

Healing Weekend for
Cancer Survivors
It seems like everything is happening at once anymore! As soon as the
Energy Medicine workshop weekend ended I had to prepare for my part in the
Mount Hope Weekend at Mount Saint Joseph Conference and Retreat Center.
The Kentucky Cancer Program and the Greater Evansville (Indiana) Affiliate
of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation sponsored a weekend of
relaxation and reflection for women who have experienced breast cancer.
What a wonderful group of women were there to enjoy that first weekend of
pampering!
The women were given the opportunity to learn how to take charge of their
lives, manage their disease, and learn relaxation techniques through
presentations on Journaling and Dreams, Self Esteem and Spirituality,
Reconstructive Surgery, Aromatherapy, Beauty through the use of proper
colors in makeup and the wardrobe, Perfect Fit garments, Yoga, Nutrition,
and a Dance Social.
I gave a short aromatherapy class and did aromatic hand massages with a
delicious stress-relieving oil blend. The women were also given the
opportunity to sign up for a full body massage from a licensed massage
therapist. They were thoroughly pampered and cared for that weekend.

this year, beginning August 2 and November 1, 2002, contact:

Are You Being
Bugged This Summer?
If you are being invaded by ants due to the wet weather, sprinkle some
crushed peppermint leaves across their trail. You may also use peppermint
essential oil. Try a combination of thyme, lemongrass, lavender, and
peppermint essential oils to repel insects, especially mosquitoes. Put a
couple of drops of this blend in steaming water, or sprinkle a few drops
on a cotton ball and place it close to where you are working. Put a few
drops on a piece of string and hang it in the windows and doorways. Use
lavender in a carrier oil base as a personal fragrance to avoid becoming a
landing zone for many types of flying, biting pests. Be sure to apply your
oil to your ankles, wrists, and the back of your neck. Enjoy!
