We occasionally get questions from our clients and visitors and we do our best to answer them. If you have a question or concern please e-mail us at customersupport@tbascent.com.

Q. Can you diagnose my problem and prescribe an essential oil for it?

A. We do not diagnose your problems, nor do we prescribe anything: we are not medical personnel. We can provide information on the time-tested and proven uses of essential oils and formulas that we have found to be of help in certain situations. Touched By A Scent products are not intended to replace your doctor’s care, but essential oils can work along with your doctor’s treatment. Some products are not compatible with homeopathic care, or should not be used when pregnant or epileptic. Be sure to advice your healthcare practitioner if you are using aromatherapy. And please read and observe the precautions listed with each product.

Q. How long will it take to get an item when I place an order?

A. We make each product by hand when you place your order, while at the same time trying to provide immediate service for you. If you order an oil, or a fragrance oil we try to have it in the mail within 48 hours except during the Christmas season (October through December). For other items, such as bath salts, eye pillows, etc. we ask that you allow a week to two weeks for us to complete the product and get it in the mail to you. In any case, if there is a hold-up in sending a product out to you, we will contact you and let you know. During the holiday season, please allow two to four weeks for delivery.

Q. I like the idea that the Touched By A Scent products are hand-blended. Can you tell me more about that?

A. When we receive your order we hand-blend the essential oils required for that specific formulation, add the carrier oil, and bottle it in our glass bottles for maximum protection against light and air. We make the fillings for the eye-pillows and sachets, and mix the bath salts when you order them, so that none of the fragrance is lost before you receive your product.

Q. How long will my oil or fragrance oil last?

A. Protected by our glass bottles, Touched By A Scent oils will retain their properties for a good year, oftentimes more. You can keep your oils from aging by keeping them tightly closed when you are not using them. We provide a dropper with each bottle of oil you order. If you are not using the oil constantly, it is best to remove the dropper and replace the cap. If the dropper remains in a bottle of oil, and the oil is not used up in a timely manner, air permeates the rubber dropper and your oil can change fragrance or deteriorate.

Q. I noticed that some of your products are bottled in green glass while others are bottled in blue glass. What is the difference?

A. In the language of healing, green is the color of healing. All the oils we hand-blend for the purpose of easing some physical ailment (body) are bottled in green. Blue is the color of communication. Therefore, we bottle all the oils associated with the mind (such as; relaxing, feeling good, and personal fragrances) in blue. We have been looking for a supplier of purple bottles (the color of spirit) similar to our blue and green bottles. These would be used for the oils associated with healing the soul (meditation, yoga, etc.). Until we find the right purple bottles, we will continue bottling the soul-related oils in blue.

Q. How do you test your products?

A. We never test our products on animals. Suzanne, the owner of Touched By A Scent, tests most products, with other products being tested by obliging family and friends.
